Silver Tabby missing from Lower Earley
Please can anyone help, and share this with as many people as you can who live in the Earley/Lower Earley area. Our beautiful cat Poppy went missing on Saturday (23rd) at around 10.30am, she is a British Shorthair, silver tabby. Our biggest worry is that at this time a cat was heard over the back from us screaming, (on the footpath that runs behind our house which is between Silverdale Road and Egremont Drive and runs from the doctors surgery (Brookside) to the woods near Maiden Erlegh lake) my husband heard and it can only be described as a horrific noise, he also heard muffled voices. My husband did call out to the people behind but they did not answer. I know its an horrific thought but we wondered if she has been stolen.
She hasn't been seen since.
It's even more worrying when our neighbour heard also on Saturday night around 8.30pm a crash at the bottom of his garden and he went down to investigate, to find that a tree had come down as his cat had jumped onto it in fright, but again there were muffled voices from the footpath. (his cat is also a distintive cat). It doesn't sound good needless to say.
The police don't know of anything like this happening, but...
