Carer – part time
Required - two experienced carers to work part time of between 20-50 hours per week. My father is in his 80s and has very limited mobility. His daily routine involves moving from bed to the living area downstairs via a stair lift, then back again in the early evening. He was a successful business man before retiring 10 years ago.
Our farmhouse is a 12-minute drive south of Dalkeith, so you need to have a car. A mileage allowance is provided.
Main duties to include:
Companionship
All aspects of personal care
Assistance to get up and down from chair or bed
Providing support with medication, reordering prescriptions and supplies
Communicating ideas to enhance day to day living
Accompanying the client to appointments and on trips out
Basic admin duties
Domestic tasks in the home
Meal preparation
Fridge management
Food shopping

Living in at the weekend from Saturday 7am until Monday 9am.
Visiting from 5pm until 10pm weekdays
Living in weekdays from 10pm until 8am
