For sale is the bed from our spare bedroom - it's a double sized solid Pine frame, which is very sturdy! It was partially sanded by the people we bought it from, and could do with being sanded completely as it's quite patchy, or given a coat of paint. We never noticed it once it was in the bedroom! It's a well-used condition, there are quite a few small marks on the top of the footboard, but for a spare bedroom or a cheap complete bed, it's good value for money! Simple to assemble - a 13mm spanner will tighten the 4 bolts holding the main frame together, and a couple of screws hold the central spine in place, then add the slats (some we've screwed down to stop any squeaking ;) ) and it's done - literally a 5-10 minute job to build.
The Mattress is the star of the show really - it's a Silentnight 1000 PocketSpring mattress, with a memory foam top to it. Cost about £350, and isn't that old. It's considered medium/firm, and we've just given it a quick refresh with our carpet/upholstery cleaning machine, so is ready to use! It's quite a heavy mattress, so i'd recommend a van or a car with a big roof-rack to collect it. We purchased it brand new.
You are welcome to come take a look - i've based the asking price on the lowest end I've seen these mattresses sell for, so the whole bedframe comes free effectively!
