Description
This is a Clark Mast Systems QTX15/HP lightweight telescopic pneumatic mast which can easily be setup to use as a high level photography system or as a portable antenna mast for ham radio etc.
The 7 section mast is 15 meters high when fully erected and is raised using a hand pump which is fitted to the side of the mast. Each of the mast sections can be locked in place as the mast is raised.
Height when retracted is 2.8 meters. Weight 10KG
Comes with the following accessories:
Clark Masts Saddle Clamps x 4 which allow you to clamp the mast to a vehicle, roof rack or building. Two of the saddle camps are fitted to wider aluminium plates which were used on our roof rack and have been stored indoors and the other two were fitted to the back of our Land Rover and so have some minor marks on the paint.
Canvas top cover.
Canvas carry bag with two metal carrying handles.
Camera mounting adapter.
Silicone Grease (Used)
Guy kit which comprises of three ground stakes (unused), three guy ropes and stake hammer.
The remote photography head is an Acuter Merlin/Orion Motorised AZ Mount which is connected to the controller / host computer via a 20 meter cable which supplies power to the remote head and also has a 20 meter USB cable to allow you to connect to the camera being used for remote viewing and taking photos. The head can be moved using a custom hand controller which allows you to pan and tilt at two speeds and there is also a focusing servo fitted to the head which can be used to focus the camera lens if a suitable lens cog is fitted.

The remote photography head runs from a 12V DC supply and this can be connected to a car battery or small 12V battery if required.
The USB and control cable are fitted onto a cable drum for easy storage.
The mast was purchased on 12th August 2010 and has only been used outdoors less than 10 times from new and only in dry sunny weather. The mast has been stored indoors from new and is in very good condition.
Due to the size and weight of the mast and accessories it is collection only from Swanage, Dorset (postcode BH192PZ). Cash on collection only.
